The US Department of Justice demands Google sell Chrome browser
The US Department of Justice will file a lawsuit requiring Alphabet, the company that owns Google, to sell the Chrome browser. This was reported by Bloomberg citing sources. It is noted that the DOJ is interested in the sale of the browser as it is one of the main ways to access Google's search engine. Chrome's market share in the US is 61%. At the same time, Google representatives stated that such proposals 'would harm consumers, developers, and America's technological leadership.'
Google is accused of monopolizing the search services and advertising market
The federal court in the District of Columbia accused Google of using its dominant position in the market to maintain a monopoly on providing search services and advertising online. The court noted that Google blocked competitors' access to nearly 90% of the internet search market. This ruling was made on August 5.

The Russian company Google was fined $20 million for blocking pro-Kremlin channels on YouTube. The company was charged this amount for refusing to pay fines for blocking pro-Kremlin channels.
