Sea barges replace ferries in Crimea

After successful attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on railway ferries that provided supplies to Russian troops in Crimea, the occupiers decided to use sea barges for fuel transportation. According to the CNS, the Russians are already looking for suitable barges.

Currently, the Russians are looking for barges that could be used to transport railway trains with fuel. However, they still don't know how to remove the remnants of the sunken ferry to restore access to the port.

The destruction of ferries and damage to the railway section of the Crimean Bridge have greatly complicated the logistics of the occupiers, who previously used the ferry crossing in Kerch for supplies to the Crimean Peninsula.

Currently, the Russians are looking for barges to transport railway trains with fuel but are facing difficulties as they cannot remove the remnants of the sunken ferry that blocks access to the 'Caucasus' port.

Due to logistical problems through Crimea, the Russians are forced to increase fuel supplies through the occupied territories of Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions. They are trying to double the supply of diesel and gasoline to 160 wagons per day, using the so-called 'northern bypass' of the Crimean Peninsula.
