Occupants struck the police deployment location in Kharkiv: a police colonel died, many wounded.
According to the head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivsky, Russian occupiers carried out a targeted attack on the location of police officers in the center of Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, one law enforcement officer died, and 26 police officers were injured. Four civilians were also affected. Vyhivsky reports this.
According to him, among the dead is police colonel Andriy Matvienko.
The head of the National Police expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased police officer. He emphasized that the service of police officers in Kharkiv is associated with a daily life risk and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
Law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene and providing necessary assistance to the wounded. They are also recording evidence of war crimes by allies.
Vyhivsky emphasized that the enemy will answer for each of their actions, and the police family will do everything necessary for this.
Recall that on November 1, Russian troops struck Kharkiv with a ballistic missile, which led to damage to dozens of residential buildings. A rapid response team is currently inspecting houses for urgent repairs.
