Prosecutors of the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv have approved and sent to court the indictment against a 71-year-old man for intentional murder, robbery, and causing bodily harm.
According to the investigation, in April 2025, the man approached a trading pavilion at the 'Barabashovo' market where a woman was conducting business. He sprayed a tear gas substance in the woman's face and inflicted a series of knife wounds. The victim died on the spot, after which the man seized her money.
The man was detained and placed in custody. The case will be considered in the Kyiv District Court of Kharkiv, where he may be sentenced to life imprisonment.
It is worth mentioning that recently a foreigner was suspected of murdering an entrepreneur in Kyiv, and there was a shooting in the capital.
