Samsung launches One UI 8 in August: 5 main changes for Galaxy smartphones

Samsung has announced the launch of the stable One UI 8 next month. The update includes five changes that will significantly ease the use of Galaxy devices.

DeX now in Android Desktop mode

The updated version of DeX now utilizes the Android Desktop Mode feature, simplifying application optimization for developers and giving users all the advantages that Google provides.

Quick Share with a large screen

The updated Quick Share now opens in full-screen mode and clearly separates the 'Send' and 'Receive' modes, making large file transfers even more convenient.

Flexible 90/10 split screen

In split-screen mode, one app can take up 90% of the screen and the other 10%, with the ability to quickly switch between them with a single touch.

Secure folder based on Personal Space

The Confidential Folder is now in the Android Personal Space, eliminating accidental file visibility. Fingerprints are registered separately, and data exchange outside the folder becomes more secure.

Now panel with Live Updates support

The Now panel is combined with real-time Android 16 updates, allowing interaction with all compatible services such as Uber Eats and displaying current data in real-time.

It is worth noting that Samsung has confirmed plans to release the Galaxy S25 FE earlier than 2024. Additionally, the company is preparing several important premieres by the end of the year.

It is also worth mentioning that Samsung smartphones have a hidden page with extended Wi-Fi settings that many users do not utilize, although it can significantly enhance connection stability and speed.
