OnePlus presented the first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5: what's new.
According to Korrespondent.net: OnePlus officially unveiled the new Ace 6T smartphone, which is the first in the world to feature the new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The model is currently available for pre-order in China and will later appear on international markets as the OnePlus 15R.
Specifications
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The display supports DC-dimming, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, and is protected by Oppo Crystal Shield glass.

Performance and Battery
The Ace 6T runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 combined with a proprietary G2 network chip and a separate display processor. Available configurations include up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of fast UFS 4.1 flash storage. The company has improved the cooling system with a new vapor chamber for stability during usage.
The smartphone also features one of the largest batteries in its class - 8300 mAh, with 100W fast charging.
Camera and Additional Features
At the back is a dual camera block: a 50MP main module Sony IMX906 with optical stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera has a resolution of 16MP.
Other features include an ultrasonic in-display scanner, stereo speakers, an infrared port, IP66/68/69/69K protection, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB-C 2.0. The smartphone runs on Android 16.
Prices and Colors
The cost starts at approximately $365 for the 12/256GB version and can reach $550 for the model with 16/1TB. OnePlus offers three main colors: Phantom Green, Electric Purple, and Flash Black, as well as a limited edition inspired by the popular game Genshin Impact in China.
It should be noted that the world's first smartphones with liquid cooling were previously presented by Nubia.
The release of the Ace 6T marks another step forward in the development of mobile technology, and its new features and improved specifications may attract users looking for a powerful and reliable device. Time will tell if the new model can maintain consumer interest in international markets.
