MARA Battalion's Counter-Battery Efforts

According to Espreso.tv: This report provides an overview of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with a focus on border areas. Despite consistent enemy shelling, personnel from the MARA battalion are continuing to destroy hostile artillery pieces. As of 4:00 PM on July 28, artillery bombardments remain active in the border zones of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The following settlements in Sumy Oblast have sustained damage: Potapivka, Neskuchne, Tovstodubove, Korenyok, Sopych, Rohizne, Hirky, Bachivsk, and Volfyne. In Chernihiv Oblast, the villages of Klyusy, Senkivka, and Naberezhne have also been affected.

Enemy Assaults and Ukrainian Defensive Actions

During the day, the adversary launched 81 attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions. On the Northern Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, the aggressor conducted two airstrikes and 36 shellings. In the Southern Slobozhansk direction, there were 11 attempts to breach the defensive line. One attack occurred on the Kupyansk axis. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled the following enemy assaults: 14 in the Sloviansk area, 4 in the Kramatorsk sector, 15 near Kostiantynivka, and 18 on the Pokrovsk front. On the Lyman axis, seven enemy advances were thwarted, and ten attacks were halted in the Huliaipole sector. One attempted penetration was recorded in the Orikhiv direction. No offensive actions by the enemy were observed in the Oleksandrivsk area.

An airstrike was carried out by the enemy on the city of Sumy, reflecting an escalation in hostile aggression. Ukrainian defense forces remain committed to their objectives, maintaining front-line stability despite adverse conditions and ongoing threats.

The current uptick in enemy attacks on border regions signals an escalation of the conflict and a possible increase in military operations by the aggressor.
