Oschadbank will suspend pension payments to displaced persons: how to receive your money.
Oschadbank temporarily suspends the accrual of pensions for certain categories of pensioners, particularly for those with the status of internally displaced persons (IDP) who have not passed mandatory verification. This decision affects those receiving pensions through Oschadbank, as well as all IDPs who have not completed the verification procedure.
This is reported by gsminfo.
For pensioners with IDP status, verification has become a mandatory procedure that must be completed every six months. This applies especially to those who got this status after February 24, 2022. If verification is not completed, payments will be frozen until the procedure is completed.
The bank offers several ways to undergo verification. Pensioners can personally visit any branch of Oschadbank or the Pension Fund. There is also an option for remote verification via video conference with a Pension Fund representative or through a personal online account on the PFU web portal. For pensioners abroad, the procedure involves contacting a diplomatic mission to obtain a certificate confirming identity, which is then sent to Ukraine.
Additionally, Oschadbank suspends pension payments to individuals who have not conducted any transactions with their pension account for a year. This includes both visiting a post office and withdrawing funds from a bank account. In such cases, all accumulated funds will be frozen, and access to them will be possible only after submitting the appropriate application.
The bank recommends that pensioners who wish to accumulate funds in an account, regularly make at least one transaction per month. This could be topping up a mobile phone or making small purchases, which will help prevent the blocking of funds.
Recall that earlier we reported that Nova Poshta could replace Oschadbank and Ukrposhta in pension payments.
