Sergii Rebrov may head Panathinaikos: what is known about the negotiations.
The Greek club 'Panathinaikos' is considering Sergii Rebrov for the position of head coach
According to inkorr.com: The Greek football club 'Panathinaikos' is actively searching for a new head coach and is interested in the Ukrainian specialist Sergii Rebrov. As reported by the well-known publication SDNA, the club has already begun negotiations with Rebrov's representatives.
However, the coach himself denies these rumors. 'Some rumors, do not pay attention,' he noted, leaving the question open about who will lead 'Panathinaikos' after the dismissal of the previous coach.
However, Rebrov categorically denied this information in an interview with 'Ukrainian Football': 'Ask them and the Greek journalists what they are writing. I have a current contract with the Ukrainian Football Association — how can I negotiate with another club? It’s all rumors. I am interested in working with the national team of Ukraine.'
Sergii Rebrov has significant experience coaching clubs such as Kyiv's 'Dynamo' and Saudi 'Al-Ahli'. It seems he prefers to work with the national team rather than coach abroad.
A difficult period for the Ukrainian national team
Currently, the Ukrainian national team under Rebrov is going through tough times. Poor results have led to a drop in the FIFA ranking, which, of course, worries Ukrainian fans.
They plan to resolve the issue of a new coach for 'Panathinaikos' in the coming days. Will Sergii Rebrov be the coach chosen by Greek fans?
