Pope Francis called to stop the shelling of Ukraine: what he talked about during the sermon

According to ТСН: During the Sunday sermon, Pope Francis drew attention to the sufferings of the Ukrainian people caused by Russian shelling.

He expressed concern, noting that these attacks are "especially severe, primarily targeting energy infrastructure, while the cold intensifies and severely affects the civilian population."

"I pray for those who suffer and again call for an end to violence and to intensify efforts for peace,"

said the Pope.

He also drew attention to the situation in Iran and Syria, where, according to him, "ongoing tension leads to the death of many people."

"I hope and pray that patient dialogue develops and peace is achieved for the common good of all society,"

he noted.

Let us remind that during the Christmas greetings, Pope Francis called to pray for the "suffering Ukrainian people."

"May the roar of weapons cease, and the involved parties, supported by the international community, find the courage to engage in sincere, direct, and respectful dialogue,"

he emphasized then.

Pope Francis continues to draw the world's attention to the situation in Ukraine and other conflict regions. His calls for peace and dialogue are becoming increasingly relevant in the context of growing tension and humanitarian crises. It is important for the international community to support efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace.
