Pedro Pichardo sets seasonal record: The Portuguese becomes the world champion in triple jump.
According to inkorr.com: Portuguese athlete Pedro Pichardo won the title of world champion-2025 in triple jump, setting a new seasonal record. The competition took place on September 19, featuring 12 athletes, including well-known competitors such as Italian Andy Hernandez and Burkinabé Yuga Fabrice Zango.
At the start of the competition, Cuban Lazaro Martinez was in the lead, but in the sixth round, victory was claimed by Italian Andre Dallavalle and Pichardo, who set a new seasonal record of 17.91 meters.

This title became the second for Pichardo in his career. Previously, he won the world championship in 2022 and also holds Olympic gold from Tokyo-2021 and silver from the 2024 Olympics.
Ukrainian athletes Yaroslav Maguchikh and Yuliya Levchenko successfully qualified for the final of the world championship-2025 in high jump and will compete for medals on Sunday, September 21, at 1:30 PM Kyiv time.
Pedro Pichardo set a new seasonal record in triple jump, defeating Italian Andre Dallavalle and Cuban Lazaro Martinez. Ukrainian athletes also continue to fight for medals at the world championship-2025, highlighting the high level of competition in the events and the readiness of Ukrainian sportswomen for significant achievements.
