Pensions, IDP payments, Zelensky's thousand, subsidies, and tariffs: what changes await Ukrainians from December 1.

Ukrainians have been informed about changes that will affect pensioners, IDPs, subsidy recipients, and utility bill payers starting December 1. This is reported by 'Hvylya' referring to materials from NV.

In December, various population groups in Ukraine will be expecting important social payments. Some pensioners will be able to receive additional funds due to the age supplement, while others will benefit from financial support from the UN World Food Programme.

All citizens of Ukraine residing in the country will receive 1000 hryvnias in state aid. Families with children will receive financial support of 6500 hryvnias per child.

Age supplement to pension In particular, in December, payments will increase for those pensioners who turn 70, 75, and 80 years old within the month. The main condition is that the pension cannot exceed 10,340.35 hryvnias.

Support for pensioners from WFP Additional financial support will be provided to pensioners entitled to payments from the UN WFP. The program of additional monetary assistance from the UN World Food Programme for pensioners living in areas of active or potential combat operations has been extended to December 2024. Assistance is also provided to individuals without pension rights, adults, and children with disabilities.

1000 hryvnias from the government The eSupport program ('Zelensky's Thousand') will provide Ukrainians with a one-Time assistance of 1000 hryvnias. The money will be credited to the National cashback card, which can be obtained through the Diia app or through a bank. The received funds can be spent until the end of 2025.

Pensioners who obtained IDP status before February 24, 2022, and did not undergo physical identification by March 31, 2024, can undergo verification in December by any convenient means to continue receiving payments.

Thanks to special measures, Ukrainian citizens will not feel the increase in heating and hot water costs during the heating season of 2024-2025.

Subsidies for the heating period 2024-2025 From October 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, Ukrainians will receive housing subsidies for the heating season. This applies to those consumers already receiving a subsidy. For other cases, it is necessary to apply for the appointment of a subsidy if the documents are being submitted for the first time, if the appointment of a subsidy for the non-heating period was refused, or if a request for termination of the subsidy was submitted and a housing subsidy for the heating period is planned to be received.
