Ukrainians have been reminded of who is entitled to a pension by age.

As reported by 'Hvylia', this was announced by the Pension Fund of Donetsk region.

Ukrainians need to remember that a pension by age is awarded depending on the insurance record and age, as determined by law - 60, 63, or 65 years. At the same Time, the annual requirement for insurance record for retirement at 60 years is increasing, and by 2028 it will be 35 years.

The general conditions for granting a pension by age are defined in Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine dated 09.07.2003 No. 1058-IV 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance'.

The right to a pension by age in 2025 belongs to persons who have reached:
  • 60 years - with at least 32 years of insurance record;
  • 63 years - with at least 22 years of insurance record;
  • 65 years - with at least 15 years of insurance record.

Documents for pension registration can be submitted in two ways:

  • Electronically - via the online portal of the Pension Fund;
  • During a personal visit - at any service center of the PFU.

Place of residence or registration does not matter - you can apply to any branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine that is convenient for you.

For this, it is necessary to provide the following essential documents:

  • passport of a citizen of Ukraine (or ID card);
  • registration number of the taxpayer card;
  • documents about the insurance record (employment book, diploma of full-time education, military ID, etc.);
  • certificate of salary for any 60 months continuously until 30.06.2000 (optional);
  • bank account details (if the payment method is chosen through a bank);
  • photograph for pension certificate (2.5x3);
  • marriage certificate in case of name change;
  • documents confirming the special status of the applicant (war veteran certificate, Honorary Donor, having special merits to Ukraine, etc.), if any.

The pension will start to be paid from the next day after reaching retirement age. However, this rule only applies if the documents are submitted within the first three months after the date of birth.
