U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff held negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the war in Ukraine.
Putin's assistant Yuri Ushakov stated that the conversation was 'useful and constructive' and the parties discussed the 'Ukrainian crisis'. 'Russia conveyed signals to the American side regarding the Ukrainian issue and received corresponding signals from Trump. The President of the Russian Federation is fully informed about the Ukrainian issue', Ushakov said.
They also discussed the prospects for possible strategic cooperation between the countries. According to Russian media, the negotiations lasted about three hours.
As a result of the negotiations between Steve Witkoff and Vladimir Putin, the Ukrainian crisis and prospects for cooperation between the countries were discussed. The Kremlin representative emphasized the importance of this meeting and the exchange of views on important issues between Russia and the USA.
