Negotiations with Putin, elections, contracts for 18-24-year-olds: Zelensky made a number of statements following Munich.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the statement of U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg regarding Europe's involvement in negotiations with Ukraine and Russia, stating that 'the war continues in Ukraine, so Ukraine must have leadership in negotiations.' The President also refused to sign an agreement with the U.S. regarding rare earth minerals, as it does not contain safety guarantees for Ukraine. Zelensky believes that Putin's goal in the negotiations is a ceasefire agreement that would allow Russia to lift international sanctions and regroup.
The President also noted that the initiative for contracts for young people is an important matter for the youth in Ukraine and will please American partners. At the same time, Zelensky stated that the issue of elections in Ukraine is raised only by Putin, as it is a violation of the law. Zelensky also suggested that Kellogg go to the front together so that he could personally see the consequences of Russian aggression and understand that this is a different war.
