Pension Adjustments and Entrepreneurial Support

According to Novyny.live: Starting in June 2026, Ukraine will roll out major updates to its pension system, launch an energy-sector loan program for businesses, and digitize paper work histories. These steps aim to strengthen social safety nets and encourage business growth.

First, pension recalculations are scheduled for June 2026. This will apply to citizens who have accumulated an additional 24 months of insurance coverage as of April 1, 2026. It is important to note that the minimum pension for disabled individuals will remain at 2,595 hryvnias in June 2026, ensuring stability in social payments for the population.

Energy Business Loan Program and Digital Work Records

Alongside these pension changes, a new support program for energy-sector entrepreneurs will launch on June 1, 2026. This program offers loans to large and medium-sized businesses, with minimum amounts set at 1 million euros and maximums at 25 million euros. The repayment term is up to 5 years, giving entrepreneurs access to essential capital for expanding their energy-related ventures.

Additionally, by June 10, 2026, paper workbooks will be fully digitized, modernizing how employment histories are recorded. This transition will simplify access to employment data, improving workforce management efficiency across Ukraine.

Together, these June 2026 reforms mark a significant step toward enhancing social welfare and supporting entrepreneurship in the country.

These initiatives reflect the Ukrainian government's push to modernize social systems and create favorable conditions for business, especially in the critical energy sector. Given global shifts toward renewable energy, the loan program could spur investment and innovation in this field, positively impacting economic development. The digitization of work records also represents a key move toward digitalizing public services, boosting transparency and information accessibility for citizens.
