South Korea showed the world a satellite image confirming the presence of North Korean troops in Russia
North Korean troops were deployed in Russia to participate in the conflict with Ukraine, citing evidence.
According to the publication, South Korea decided to send about 12,000 troops to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. By that time, 1,500 North Korean special forces had already been deployed to the Vladivostok naval base.
South Korea closely monitors the movement of North Korea through satellite observation. This is done against the backdrop of the military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
The United States is informed about the possible participation of North Korean troops on the side of Russia, but there is no independent confirmation of this data.
South Korea considers the movement of DPRK troops to Ukraine as a serious threat to international security.
According to the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov, there are approximately 11,000 North Korean infantrymen in Eastern Russia preparing for military actions in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin refused to confirm reports of North Korean troops moving to Russia, stating that confirming the veracity of this data would escalate the conflict.
