PFU has presented a new mechanism for calculating housing subsidies for internally displaced persons.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has presented a detailed mechanism for calculating housing subsidies for internally displaced persons, which takes into account regional specifics and the financial situation of families.
The amount of the subsidy is calculated as the difference between the maximum rental value of housing and the mandatory payment, which is determined individually for each family, the agency reported.
According to the PFU, the maximum value is formed taking into account the average rental value, the social housing norm, and a specific correction factor for each region.
To illustrate the mechanism, the Fund provided a specific example: a family of four renting housing in Dnipro for 24 thousand hryvnias can expect a subsidy of 7,329.85 hryvnias. In this case, the maximum rental value is 12,261.85 hryvnias, and the mandatory payment is 4,932 hryvnias.
It is worth noting that the calculation of the mandatory payment is based on the average monthly total income of the family for the previous two quarters before the application submission.
A significant innovation was the introduction of a unified principle for assigning subsidies that takes into account the family's income. More than 42 billion hryvnias are allocated in the state budget for 2025 for the implementation of housing subsidy and benefit programs, which indicates significant state support in this direction.
