The Pension Fund of Ukraine revealed where the poorest pensioners live in Ukraine.
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, there are more than 10 million pensioners in Ukraine. As of October 1, 2024, the average pension payment amounted to 5852 hryvnias.
According to the Pension Fund, 25.79% of pensioners receive less than 3000 hryvnias, 17.35% receive from 3001 to 4000 hryvnias, 18.59% receive from 4001 to 5000 hryvnias, 25.57% receive from 5001 to 10000 hryvnias, and 12.70% receive more than 10000 hryvnias.
The highest pension payments are observed in Kyiv, where the average pension is 7971 hryvnias. The second place is held by Rivne region with an amount of 7277 hryvnias, and third is Donetsk region with an amount of 7159 hryvnias.
In Luhansk region, the average pension is 6716 hryvnias, in Dnipropetrovsk – 6435 hryvnias, and in Kyiv region – 6084 hryvnias.
The lowest pensions are received in Ternopil region – 4460 hryvnias, in Chernivtsi – 4664 hryvnias, and in Transcarpathian region – 4697 hryvnias.
According to the Pension Fund, there is a significant regional difference in the sizes of pension payments, where Kyiv has the highest average pension.
We also remind you that pensions will be indexed in 2025, but this does not apply to all Ukrainians.
