Experts from the relevant platform 'EnableMe UA' reminded what benefits are received by Ukrainians with Group I disabilities.

  • Housing benefits

People with Group I disabilities have the right to prioritize receiving housing or improving their living conditions, as well as privatizing housing for free.

  • Transport benefits

Citizens with Group I disabilities can travel for free on public transport if they have the appropriate certificate.

  • Medication benefits

People with Group I disabilities can receive a 50% discount on prescribed medications and obtain rehabilitation aids for free or at a discount.

Are there utility benefits for people with Group I disabilities?

The general category of Group I disabled individuals does not have benefits for utility services, however, there are exceptions. Thus, citizens whose disability is related to participation in combat actions or Chernobyl may receive certain benefits for utility services and housing.

Additionally, Ukrainians with disabilities may take advantage of a number of other benefits, including early retirement options and extended leave for those who continue to work.
