Resilience plan: Zelensky announced large-scale changes in economic and social policy.
President Volodymyr Zelensky presented Ukraine's resilience plan in the Verkhovna Rada, which includes economic and social initiatives. He emphasized that the future of the country depends on a strong economy built on several key principles.
The plan foresees support for Ukrainian entrepreneurship and production within the country. The president believes that everything that can be produced in Ukraine should be made here and purchased by Ukrainian manufacturers. Therefore, it is planned to expand access for Ukrainian companies to the public procurement market.
The state will also focus on protecting businesses. An effective military risk insurance system is planned to be implemented, and pressure on entrepreneurs from regulatory authorities will be reduced. The president emphasizes the importance of honest relations between the state and business, as well as the necessity of legal employment and de-shadowing the economy.
The government will continue to implement programs to support businesses and the population. The '5-7-9' program has become the main source of affordable loans for businesses, and this year it is planned to be redirected towards investment goals. The grant program to support the manufacturing industry has helped thousands of Ukrainian producers acquire new equipment.
In addition, significant changes in the social sphere are foreseen in the plan. The state will guarantee the payment of all salaries and pensions, regardless of circumstances, and pensions will be indexed according to the level of inflation. The government has also developed a winter support package for the population.
The 'Made in Ukraine' and 'National Cashback' programs, which support domestic producers, will continue their work. The 'eHousing' program will help Ukrainians become owners of their own property and stimulate demand for building materials and work. The popular 'eSupport' program, which will cover millions of Ukrainians, is also planned to be restored.
The president also announced free meals for all schoolchildren in the country for the next year. This program will be expanded to all students, not just in elementary classes as it was before. Zelensky emphasized that a strong economy is needed not only for defense needs but also for the development of human potential. He stressed that Ukrainians must have the opportunity to realize themselves right in Ukraine, which is impossible without support for entrepreneurship and creating favorable conditions for business.
