The SpaceX spacecraft delivered astronauts to the ISS

The SpaceX spacecraft successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS), from which it is set to pick up two astronauts – Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams. These astronauts have been on the ISS since June 2024 and are still unable to return to Earth. This is reported by The Guardian.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft successfully docked with the ISS as part of the Crew-10 mission. It delivered four astronauts who will replace Wilmore and Williams – members of the previous crew who have been on the station for over nine months due to issues with Boeing's Starliner capsule.

«Hello to everyone on Earth. Crew-10 had a wonderful journey here, about 28 hours, to return to the space station. And I can't convey to you the immense joy of our team as we looked out the window and saw the space station for the first Time», said NASA astronaut and team commander Anne McClain.

The Crew-10 crew will work on the ISS for the next six months. It includes astronauts from the USA, Japan, and Russia.

Wilmore, Williams, American astronaut Nick Hague, and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov plan to return to Earth on March 19 using the Crew Dragon spacecraft. This ship arrived at the ISS back in September.

At the ISS, Wilmore, Williams, and five other astronauts were engaged in scientific research and scheduled maintenance. Williams told reporters that she is looking forward to returning home to see her dogs and family. For them, it has been a long wait, longer than for us, she said.

On March 12, NASA and SpaceX canceled the Crew-10 mission to the ISS due to problems during launch.
