During the first five months of 2025, Ukrainians have already paid UAH 4.9 billion in property tax, which is 17% more than in the same period last year.
According to the State Tax Service, the most tax revenue came from:
- Kiev – nearly UAH 990 million;
- Kiev region – UAH 497 million;
- Dnipropetrovsk – UAH 496 million;
- Odessa – UAH 464 million.
Individuals who own apartments larger than 60 sq. m, houses larger than 120 sq. m, or various types of housing (including shares), if the total area exceeds 180 sq. m, are required to pay this tax. In 2025, Ukrainians are paying tax for the year 2024.

Ukrainians are actively paying property tax, indicating an increase in tax revenues in the country. The most money has come from residents of Kiev, Kiev region, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odessa regions.
