Ukraine's March 2, 2026 Forecast: Icy Risk Amid Sharp Temperature Swings.
Weather Outlook for Ukraine on March 2, 2026
According to Novyny.live: Meteorologists, including Natalia Didenko, forecast variable cloud cover across Ukraine on March 2, 2026, with no significant precipitation expected.
'March 2 will pass without substantial rainfall in Ukraine,'Didenko noted. This early spring period often brings unpredictable conditions as winter loosens its grip.
Air temperatures will exhibit a significant daily range. Overnight lows are expected to drop to between +1°C and -4°C, while daytime highs will rise to a range of +3°C to +9°C. In the southern regions, daytime temperatures will be warmer, reaching between +8°C and +13°C. For the capital, Kyiv, the mercury will fall to 0°C to -2°C at night and climb to +5°C to +7°C during the day.
A northwesterly to westerly wind will blow at speeds of 5 to 10 meters per second. The combination of these near-freezing overnight temperatures and any residual moisture significantly raises the risk of black ice forming on surfaces, a major hazard for motorists and pedestrians.
Despite the chill and icy risk, the dry conditions predicted for March 2 could benefit outdoor event planning and early agricultural preparations. The moderate daytime temperatures, particularly in the south, may provide favorable conditions for outdoor activities during daylight hours.
