Over 1,200 Anonymous Bomb Threats Reported to Police in One Day—None Were Real.
Mass Bomb Threat Hoax on March 30
According to Novyny.live: On March 30, Ukraine’s National Police received more than 1,200 anonymous bomb threat reports—none of which turned out to be genuine. Starting at 11:00 AM, over a thousand such messages flooded in. By 2:50 PM, authorities had processed only 20% of them. This wave of hoax threats created significant strain on emergency services and public attention.
Bomb disposal units, canine teams, and investigative task forces have been deployed to the reported locations to assess the information and ensure public safety. In light of these events, citizens are urged to rely solely on official sources for updates. Such false alarms not only drain law enforcement resources but also risk sparking unnecessary panic among the population.
The situation highlights the ongoing challenge of anonymous bomb threats, which can lead to massive resource allocation and public anxiety. It is crucial for people to stay cautious and avoid spreading unverified information, especially during times of heightened alert. Police continue investigating the incidents and working to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
