Poland hopes that Denmark will open the first cluster of negotiations between Ukraine and the EU.
Ukraine is preparing for a possible accession to the European Union, which may happen during the upcoming Danish presidency of the EU. Poland's Minister for European Union Affairs, Adam Szlapka, emphasized that Ukraine is ready for this step and highlighted the importance of joint work and support from all EU member states.
'Our common goal is to work with the enlargement process and to move this process forward,' Szlapka emphasized.
It has been noted that the time of the Danish presidency in the EU could be suitable for starting negotiations on Ukraine's accession. The technical preparation for this stage has already been completed, only the political decision remains.
Ukraine is actively working on a possible accession to the European Union, and cooperation with other EU member states during Denmark's presidency in the European Union plays an important role in this. This could be an important step for Ukraine on the path to European integration.
