The Trade Inspection of Poland has banned the circulation of a batch of wheat from Ukraine

The Trade Inspection for the Quality of Agricultural and Food Products in Poland (IJHARS) in the city of Rzeszów has decided not to allow the distribution of a batch of hard wheat varieties, weighing 21.998 tons and imported from Ukraine. The reason for this decision was the insufficient amount of protein in this batch of wheat.

Additionally, IJHARS inspectors also prohibited the importation to Poland of eight batches of rice, which total 200 tons, due to the presence of dead pests in them.

It is worth noting that over the past year, Poland has imposed bans on the import of various goods from Ukraine, such as flax seeds, brewing barley, Ukrainian ice cream, biscuit cakes, and bagels. This year, the importation of tomato paste and several batches of Ukrainian bagels has also been banned.

It should be noted that in April, the Trade Inspection of Poland imposed a fine of 1.5 million zlotys on an importer company that brought 11,500 tons of technical rapeseed and feed wheat from Ukraine to the Polish market. This became the largest fine in Polish history.
