Protest of Polish farmers at the border with Ukraine

On November 24, Polish farmers began a two-day protest at the Ukrainian border. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service. The protesters blocked the crossing point 'Medika - Shegyni' at the border with Ukraine. The strike will last 48 hours, and possibly longer.

The border service noted that the restrictions do not apply to passenger cars and buses. There is also no congestion of freight transport exiting Ukraine.

At the entrance to Ukraine from the Polish side, there are about 10 trucks. Those trucks that were stuck between the protesters and the border since yesterday have already crossed into Ukraine.

The farmers' protests are not directly related to Ukraine. The main reasons for the protests are against the increase in agricultural tax and the free trade agreement between the European Union and South American countries.
