The inventor of Nutella, Francesco Rivella, has died

Francesco Rivella, a renowned Italian chemist and co-creator of the chocolate spread Nutella, died at the age of 98. This was reported by Il Messaggero.

Rivella worked at Ferrero for over 40 years and was a close associate of the founder, Michele Ferrero.

He was responsible for analyzing new products and helped create more innovative products, including Nutella.

Nutella is a famous chocolate-hazelnut brand that is extremely popular worldwide. There is even a World Nutella Day, proposed by blogger Sara Rosso in 2007. Since then, this brand has millions of fans, and various events dedicated to it are held every year.

Rivella served as the director of fundamental research at the Ferrero Group until his retirement. He also contributed to the creation of other well-known products of the company, such as Mon Cheri, Tic Tac, Kinder Cioccolato, Kinder Surprise, and Ferrero Rocher. He passed away on February 14, 2015, just like Michele Ferrero.

Unfortunately, price increases for chocolate products are expected in the coming years.

Also, the capital's police discovered a man selling chocolate laced with drugs. He added psychotropic substances to the candies and distributed them via messengers throughout Ukraine.
