Social assistance for care - what has changed for Ukrainians since July.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) has explained who is entitled to state social assistance for care, and about the changes that took place from July 2025.
What to know about care assistance for persons with disabilities
According to government resolution No. 695, the Pension Fund has been instructed to appoint and pay state social assistance for care starting this July. Entitlement to such support is provided for:
- single low-income individuals who require regular care;
- low-income individuals with disabilities of subgroup B of the first group;
- low-income citizens with disabilities of subgroup A of the first group;
- single individuals over 80 years old.
How to obtain financial assistance for care
Now citizens can apply for state social assistance for care by submitting a request to:
- Pension Fund service center;
- city authorities or CNAP;
- electronically through the PFU or state services 'Diia';
- by mail.
You must have documents confirming your identity, identification code, income declaration, documents regarding incapacity or guardianship, a medical opinion (for persons requiring care), as well as documents about participation in World War II.
