The Russian Orthodox Church has invented a new reason for men's alcohol addiction. According to them, their wives are to blame. The rector of the Vvedensky Church in Kashir Valery Soskovets noted that men start drinking when their wives do not obey them. He urged women who do not want to submit to their husbands not to get married.

According to the priest, men feel stressed if they are not the heads of their families, and this leads to alcohol addiction. Earlier, priest Andrey Tkachev stated that a woman for a man is no more than a shadow and should not dream of a career.
Interestingly, the church has also developed a method to protect against Ukrainian armed forces drones - to ring the church bells. Such statements have led to discussions in the Ukrainian internet community.
