The first parliamentary session will take place in the usual mode, - Georgian Prime Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the first parliamentary session will take place in the usual mode and the government will be approved, despite the opposition's refusal to recognize the voting results. This is reported by “Echo of the Caucasus”.

Commenting on the opposition's statements about “stolen elections”, Kobakhidze claimed that they simply “lacked the dignity to admit another defeat”.

Throughout all these years, they have not once been able to accept the election results, to accept their defeat with dignity. They have been defeated for the ninth Time, - he claims.

Kobakhidze emphasized that “any attempt to challenge the constitutional order is unacceptable”.

It should be emphasized once again that in this case, a number of non-governmental organizations together with political, radical parties have opposed the constitutional order of this country for the third time in four years. But, it is a weak attempt. These are desperate politicians, a desperate attempt to somehow justify themselves to their own voters, - he concluded.

Let's recall, the ruling party of Georgia “Georgian Dream” occupies the first place in the parliamentary elections. These elections, according to many citizens of the country and politicians, are crucial and key in the question of Georgia's entry into the EU, or the return of the country's development vector towards Russia.

According to the election commission, after counting the votes from 97% of the precincts, the party “Georgian Dream” received 54.24% of the votes. In Georgia, the opposition refused to recognize the election results.

As reported, the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili does not rule out that in the case of the parliamentary elections' victory by the “Georgian Dream” party, she might be imprisoned. Moreover, she stated that the country's ruling party “Georgian Dream” is “a trustee of Russia”.

Earlier it was noted that Georgian opposition parties have the potential to gain more than half of the votes in the parliamentary elections, whereas the pro-Russian party “Georgian Dream” is noticeably losing support. This is evidenced by the polling results.
