The Australian brand Kookai, which left the UK market in 2013, is preparing for its revival.
Kookai plans to return to the UKAccording to the Retail Week report, the brand is negotiating with real estate agents Forty Group about a potential location in London.
Kookai hopes to open a new store in the spring of next year.
Sources close to the company also note that the opening of several stores will take place with a 'cautious' approach, in selected areas.
Kookai was founded in France in 1983. The brand is now owned by the Australian company Magi, which acquired the company in 2017.
In the 90s, Kookai opened two stores in London and continued to expand in the 2000s. However, in 2006, the brand faced financial difficulties and closed its business in the UK in 2013.
The Sun has contacted Forty Group and Kookai for comments.

Moreover, Kookai already has an online store that delivers to the UK.
Kookai joins a number of other well-known 90s brands that are also planning to return to British streets.

Also, Ted Baker is planning a return in 2026, details of which will be confirmed closer to the date.
It is currently unclear how many stores will be opened and whether they will be outside the capital.
This news comes a year after all of the brand's stores closed in August 2024.
Meanwhile, Topshop is expanding its presence after Asos sold a 75% stake in the company to Bestseller. The iconic British brand has opened a concession in Liberty London and plans to open 32 John Lewis stores next year.
