Flamingo in Serial Production: What is Known About the New Ukrainian Missile

Prominent Ukrainian photojournalist Yefrem Lukatsky reported that the Ukrainian long-range missile 'Flamingo' is already in serial production. More information about it will soon emerge, but Ukrainian military experts already know its characteristics and possible technical origins.

This was reported by the Defense Express portal.

What the Ukrainian Missile 'Flamingo' is Capable Of

Ukrainian military experts, analyzing open sources, suggest that 'Flamingo' is a Ukrainian modification of the FP-5 missile developed by Milanion Group from Great Britain. The FP-5 has double the flight range and warhead compared to the American Tomahawk missile.

According to Milanion Group, the FP-5 can fly for over four hours at a cruising speed of 850-900 km/h and has a maximum speed of 950 km/h. The wingspan of the missile is 6 meters, and its maximum take-off weight is six tons. The warhead weight of the FP-5 reaches one ton, which is twice that of the Tomahawk.

Milanion Group also claims the potential to produce over 50 FP-5 missiles monthly. This high level of production is explained by the simplification of the missile's design: no folding wings and transport-launch container.

According to Milanion Group, the FP-5 is equipped with satellite navigation, is resistant to electronic warfare, and has an inertial system.

It was previously reported that at the IDEF 2025 exhibition, Turkey presented the hypersonic missile Tayfun Block-4, which in some aspects outpaces the Russian 'Kinzhal'.

Meanwhile, Russia is likely preparing to test the nuclear-capable cruise missile 'Burevestnik'. Western intelligence has noted a sharp increase in military activity in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.

The Ukrainian missile 'Flamingo', which is a modification of the FP-5 missile, has entered serial production. Its high technical characteristics and the possibility of mass production make 'Flamingo' a very promising piece of Ukrainian weaponry, which is worth expecting more of in the future.
