The Ukrainian National Bank has created a network of bank branches called Power Banking, which can operate even during a complete power outage.
The head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyy, stated this in an interview for 'We are Ukraine'.
According to him, these branches are energy autonomous, have enhanced staff, and special cash support protocols. The 'Diia' app also contains information about this network of branches, which is part of the overall resilience network.
'I had the opportunity to see how they work in practice. In March, when a new wave of attacks on Kharkiv began, we went there with the team. At night, the city was under shelling and as a result became without electricity. We arrived early in the morning and entered a branch that belongs to the Power Banking network - it continued to service clients even during the blackout,' said Pyshnyy.
