Russia's Shadow Fleet Loses 105 Vessels as Fires Erupt in Kerch and Koktebel.
Blazes in Kerch and Koktebel
According to Espreso.tv: Multiple fire hotspots have been reported in the city of Kerch and the Koktebel area. Flames have engulfed warehouses at the Kerch railway station and are believed to have also struck the 'Kerch' oil depot. The fire broke out near the 'Kerch' electrical substation (110/35/6 kV), raising concerns about potential damage to the region's power infrastructure.
Separately, additional fires have been observed near Koktebel, close to the 'Koktebel' electrical substation (110/35/6 kV).
Operation 'MoLoChKa'
As part of Operation 'MoLoChKa', 15 vessels belonging to Russia's shadow fleet were detained on July 13. Over an eight-day period, the operation has intercepted a total of 105 ships, underscoring intensified efforts to combat illicit maritime transport.
The fires in Kerch and Koktebel pose serious risks to local energy stability, as their proximity to key electrical substations threatens power supply reliability. At the same time, Operation 'MoLoChKa' highlights a crackdown on illegal shipping activities amid growing regional tensions.
