Ukraine has returned 1358 people from Russian captivity
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that during this year Ukraine managed to return 1358 people from captivity in Russia. He noted that it is a pride to be the president of such strong stories and brave people who prove that a nation with wings on its back cannot be broken.
«We saw this yesterday. When we were uplifted with happiness because 189 Ukrainians returned home from captivity. Because they will meet the New Year at home. Because we are bringing our people back. 1358 people this year,» – said Zelensky.
In total, since the beginning of the war, 3956 people have returned from captivity. The President emphasized that every number is important, as every returned person is a return of life to Ukraine. He also noted that every Time it happens, everyone is in tears, as everyone feels the emotions – from a moved mother who sees her child to the President of Ukraine celebrating it with the people.
Currently, the 1043rd day of the full-scale war is ongoing. Since the beginning of the previous day, the enemy has carried out over 2500 shellings and launched five missile strikes, eight airstrikes, and used 376 kamikaze drones.
Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely resist attempts by the enemy to advance deep into the territory and inflict fire damage on them. In total, since the beginning of the previous day, there have been 188 combat clashes.
