Concealed 118 million from grain export - deal scheme from Odesa region.
The director of an agricultural company in the Odesa region concealed 118 million hryvnias in taxes from grain exports. The dealer was caught red-handed, and a case has been opened against him, facing a huge fine with asset confiscation.
This was reported by the Odesa regional prosecutor's office.
Details of the case
The director of the agricultural company intentionally did not include part of the profit from the export of 56 thousand tons of wheat and soybeans in the tax report for the first half of 2024. The grain was transported by sea through one of the ports of the Odesa region to Egypt and Turkey. The actual quantity of sold products and the company's income were several times higher than declared. According to the investigation, more than 118 million UAH in taxes did not reach the state budget because of this.
During the investigation, the accused fully compensated the damages to the state.
What penalty is threatened
The individual has been notified of suspicion under part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion). He faces up to 450,000 hryvnias in fines with asset confiscation.
Recall that recently we wrote about a 'fraudster' who cheated 81 people. As well as about a resident of Odesa who robbed 'people' without leaving prison.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the director of the agricultural company in the Odesa region evaded paying a significant amount of taxes by concealing part of the profit from grain exports. In addition to a large fine and possible asset confiscation, he will have to face the law for violating financial regulations.
