PrivatBank Enables Cash Withdrawals at Retail Stores to Aid Businesses During Blackouts.
PrivatBank Introduces New Fee-Free Service
According to Novyny.live: In response to Ukraine's ongoing energy challenges, PrivatBank has launched a new service allowing business owners to withdraw cash at store checkouts without paying any fees. This initiative, which became active on February 1, 2026, is designed to support entrepreneurs during power outages by providing them with convenient financial solutions.
Terms of the New Service
The service's terms will be in effect for one month. It is already available at over 200,000 retail locations across Ukraine. Major retail chains participating in the program include:
- ATB
- Silpo
- OKKO
These networks will allow customers to withdraw funds without incurring additional costs.
The maximum withdrawal amount per transaction is 6,000 hryvnias. Each client can perform up to three cash withdrawal operations per day, significantly simplifying access to cash during electricity disruptions.
Yevhen Zaigraiev, a bank representative, stated: 'We support business not only with financing but also with convenient and accessible services for daily operations.'
This initiative represents a crucial step in supporting entrepreneurs facing challenges related to the energy crisis.
The introduction of this service highlights the increasing responsiveness of financial institutions to business needs in unstable conditions. Given the current challenges posed by blackouts, such initiatives can substantially ease the financial situation for small and medium-sized enterprises by providing flexible access to cash. This could also become a significant factor in sustaining economic activity in the country during crisis situations.
