These adjustments will apply to both international transfers and transfers from foreign currency Mastercards to overseas Mastercard accounts. This move aligns with broader trends in the Ukrainian banking sector as institutions adapt their service models.
- The fee for international transfers using a Mastercard will be reduced from 1.5% to 1%.
- The fee for transfers from a PrivatBank foreign currency Mastercard to an overseas Mastercard will drop from 2% to 1%.
- The minimum transfer amount will be set at $10 (or its equivalent).
- The maximum for a single transfer will not exceed 29.9 thousand UAH (or its equivalent).
- The total monthly limit for transfers to foreign Mastercards must not surpass 100 thousand UAH (or its equivalent).
Additionally, PrivatBank customers have an opportunity to receive a cashback rebate for international P2P transfers made until April 5. This cashback offer ranges from 250 to 50 thousand UAH. A final super prize of 100 thousand UAH will be awarded at the end of the promotional period.
Implications for Customers
The revised Mastercard transfer fees at PrivatBank may influence the decisions of users who regularly send money abroad. The 0.5% reduction in charges could make the bank's services more competitive within the financial sector. The introduction of new transfer limits is also expected to enhance oversight of monetary flows, a factor likely to be significant for clients conducting frequent international transactions.
