Sales of Used Cars: The Most Popular Passenger Cars of May.
In May 2025, Ukrainians continue to actively purchase cars. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, nearly 82,000 transactions for the purchase and sale of used passenger cars were completed, which is 7.6% more than in the previous month.
However, compared to the same period last year, the number of transactions has nearly halved - down by 49.1%. Drivers prefer brands such as Volkswagen, Renault, VAZ, and BMW. Among specific models, the Volkswagen Passat leads, along with the popular Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Golf. The average age of cars in the secondary market remains stable at 15.8 years.
Interestingly, among the expensive cars sold in May were Maserati, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Maybach.
The oldest car that found a new owner was the 1938 Opel Olympia, which is already 87 years old.
The demand for used cars in Ukraine continues to grow, although compared to last year, the number of transactions is still lower. Drivers continue to choose reliable brands and various models, demonstrating interest in the used car market in the country.
