The 'eRecovery' program is a key solution for the housing needs of those affected
According to inkorr.com: The 'eRecovery' program has become the main tool for providing housing to Ukrainians who have suffered from the war. Since its launch more than two years ago, 134,771 families have benefited, receiving a total of 45.3 billion hryvnias, according to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
Among them, 110,909 families received compensation for damaged housing amounting to 10.8 billion hryvnias. Additionally, 23,862 certificates have been issued for destroyed housing, allowing 15,609 families to purchase new homes for a total of 34.5 billion hryvnias.
'In 2025, the new team of the Ministry of Development focused on expanding the eRecovery program to support internally displaced persons. The government allocated an additional 15 billion hryvnias for the new mechanism. This has already enabled 7,321 IDP families to purchase housing in safer regions. By the end of the year, another 3,000 families will be able to receive appropriate funding,' the agency reported.
New support program for IDPs from occupied territories
This year, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution establishing a new housing program for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories. Previously, these families could not receive compensation due to the inability to conduct assessments. However, a new mechanism has now been introduced.
'In the first stage, about 3,700 internally displaced families who have a veteran of combat or a person with a disability due to the war will receive support. They will receive housing vouchers worth up to 2 million hryvnias. This is the start of the program, and work is underway with international partners to attract additional resources so that all families from temporarily occupied territories receive compensation,' the Ministry of Development explained.
The 'eRecovery' program is an important tool in providing housing to Ukrainians who have suffered from Russian aggression. Over the past two years, more than 134,000 families have received compensation totaling 45.3 billion hryvnias. Currently, the new program for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories is actively operating, providing support to families in need of assistance in safer areas.
