Ukraine's 'SvitloDIM' Program Launches, Promising First Payments Within 48 Hours.
Ukraine's SvitloDIM Program
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine has launched the SvitloDIM program to assist multi-apartment buildings in installing independent power sources. The first applications have already been submitted, with some receiving approval. Officials have pledged to issue the initial payments within 48 hours.
Oleksiy Kubela, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, stated that the commission reviewing applications meets daily. The program provides financial aid ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 hryvnias for autonomous electricity supply. This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Ukraine's energy resilience amid ongoing challenges to its power infrastructure.
Program Participation
To participate, applicants must open a special account, which is currently available at Oschadbank, Raiffeisen Bank, and Ukrgasbank. Oleksiy Kubela emphasized that authorities are actively working with banks to expand the list of partner financial institutions. The SvitloDIM program aims to support Ukrainians in securing a stable electricity supply.
The program represents a significant step toward improving the energy independence of apartment buildings in Ukraine, particularly given the unstable power supply. With this financial support, residents can equip their homes with autonomous energy sources, reducing reliance on the central grid. As the program is just beginning, the active involvement of banks will be crucial for its success and accessibility to the population.
