Propagandists Prepare New Scare Tactics About Energy Crisis – Center for Countering Disinformation.
Ukraine faces intimidation by "energy crisis" and "economic catastrophe" due to Russian propaganda, which will increase its activity in winter. This warning comes from the Center for Countering Disinformation.
Analysts warn of Russian propaganda's attempts to create the impression that the Ukrainian government is incapable of coping with the situation, the only way out of which is a change in political course and accepting Russian terms to end the war.
According to Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, Ukraine is actively preparing for winter, planning to restore damaged energy infrastructure and build new generation facilities. He also noted that before restoration, Ukraine must protect its energy system from Russian shelling.
An important step is distributed energy, which is more difficult for the enemy to attack, thereby ensuring power supply in regions even if the system is divided. This will also ensure the power supply of critical infrastructure.
It is worth noting that all nine nuclear units will be operating in Ukraine this winter. Repair work has its timelines.
