Russian troops stuck in Sumy region: 100 occupiers cannot advance.
According to ТСН: The military of the Russian Federation, which broke through the border into the village of Hraborivske in the Sumy region, is currently unable to advance deeper into the area. The number of enemy troops currently stands at about 100.
Situation in Hraborivske
Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service, noted that:
“The enemy at the moment has deployed about 100 of its servicemen, who have been trying to enter and accumulate for several days, but again, the enemy is suffering personnel losses. As of now, there is no significant accumulation of the enemy in this direction.”
According to him, the invaders cannot move beyond this settlement. They attempted to attack the positions of the Armed Forces and the State Border Guard Service, but were unable to expand the battle zone in Ukraine.
Attacks and evacuation of residents
Demchenko also reported that the Russians are attacking the village with artillery and drones.
“Strikes are being carried out even on Russian territory, in order not to allow the enemy to accumulate in this direction and to prevent attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian infantry.”
It is worth noting that about a week ago, the RF army entered the territory of the Sumy region, to the village of Hraborivske, and attempted to advance towards Ryasne. Under pressure from the enemy, the Defense Forces were forced to retreat from several positions.
Additionally, the invaders forcibly took more than fifty residents of Hraborivske to Russia. Most of them are elderly people who previously refused evacuation.
The enemy continues active actions in Hraborivske, but the Ukrainian forces are capable of holding their positions. The situation remains tense, and further developments may significantly impact the situation in the region. At the same time, the forced relocation of residents indicates serious human rights violations by the invaders, and the Ukrainian side is trying to create conditions for the protection of the population.
