Pressure is mounting on Vladimir Putin regarding a meeting with Zelensky following the public summit at the White House. However, the latest update currently resembles known delays.
Putin seems ready to meet with Zelensky
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that the meeting would only take place with the understanding that all issues requiring consideration at the highest level will be well prepared.
The leaders were previously close to a personal meeting, the stage was set in Turkey in May, but Putin backed out at the last moment. It has also become known that Russia is not holding back its attacks, carrying out the largest nighttime missile strike on Ukraine after the summit in Alaska with Donald Trump.
A leading Kremlin supporter stated that Vladimir Putin is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky only after resolving 'issues'. This update may be related to prolonged negotiations and increasing pressure regarding a possible meeting following the public summit at the White House.
