Trump stated that Putin disagrees on a ceasefire for the referendum in Ukraine.
According to ТСН: The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has no intention of agreeing to a temporary ceasefire for the referendum in Ukraine.
This information was announced by US President Donald Trump during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago.
“Putin does not want a ceasefire for the referendum. He does not want to find himself in a situation where he stops firing, and then has to start firing again, and I understand this position,”– said the US President.
Trump also expressed some confidence in the 'good intentions' of the Kremlin, noting that while Putin does not agree to a temporary ceasefire during the referendum, he supposedly 'wants peace.'
“I believe him,”– summed up the American leader.
Trump also noted that Vladimir Putin 'wants Ukraine to succeed.' According to him, the 'fuhrer' is 'generous' in his wish, particularly regarding the supply of energy resources at favorable prices.
The US President also reported significant progress in ending the war, stating that during the conversation with Zelensky, 'various topics, all topics' were discussed.
Thus, Trump's words once again confirm the complex situation surrounding the conflict in Ukraine. Despite claims of good intentions, the Kremlin's position remains tough, not allowing hopes for a quick resolution of the crisis. At the same time, discussions of war-related topics among leaders indicate continued diplomatic efforts to achieve peace in the region.
