Putin is flying to Alaska: who will ensure his safety during the negotiations.
It is known that Vladimir Putin will be protected by a joint personal security unit of the Russian leader and the American Secret Service during the upcoming negotiations. This was reported by former high-ranking employee of the U.S. Secret Service Robert Macdonald.
According to Macdonald, such joint work between the personal guard of the Russian leader and the American Secret Service is a standard practice that is independent of political differences between countries. In such cases, law enforcement agencies of different countries cooperate to ensure the maximum level of security for heads of state.
This interaction between law enforcement agencies is already standard practice at international forums, for example, during sessions of the UN General Assembly in New York. Macdonald also noted the high level of training of Russian colleagues, whom he coordinated during visits by George W. Bush.
It is well known that the security of heads of state is a priority, regardless of their political beliefs. Cooperation between Russian and American personal guards in this context is a common practice aimed at ensuring security and the successful conduct of international meetings.
