Over 160 Journalists from 60 Nations Gather at Shusha Media Forum to Tackle Disinformation.

According to UATV: Held in Azerbaijan, the Shusha Media Forum has become a key venue for debating strategies to combat disinformation and safeguard press freedom. More than 160 journalists representing over 60 countries are taking part. Among the attendees is the FREEДOM television channel, which actively covers media and free speech issues amid today's challenges.
Azerbaijani Presidential Aide Hikmet Hajiyev also participated in the event, stressing the need for international cooperation in journalism. President Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed his country's unwavering stance on supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Restoration of the City of Shusha
Additionally, forum attendees had the chance to learn about the reconstruction of the city of Shusha. “Our team arrived in Shusha the day before and we were able to see the current condition of what was once a destroyed city,” noted journalist Yurii Kulynych. His remarks highlight the media’s role in portraying the realities and challenges faced by countries emerging from conflict.
The Shusha Forum not only fosters the exchange of ideas and experiences among journalists but also underscores the global importance of defending free speech and fighting disinformation. Participants express hope that such events will strengthen partnerships between nations and advance independent journalism.
