Russia Plans Strikes Up to 100 km Inside Ukraine: Defense Advisor Reveals Potential Targets.
Escalating Threat from Russia
According to UATV: Sergey Beskrestnov, an advisor to Ukraine's Minister of Defense, has warned that Russia is preparing to strike targets up to 100 km deep into Ukrainian territory. He stated that the conflict is entering a phase of large-scale medium- and long-range attacks. The enemy is no longer selective about which targets to hit inside Ukraine, and preparations must be made for strikes on virtually any facility.
Infrastructure at Risk
Beskrestnov highlighted that a wide range of infrastructure could be vulnerable. These include:
- gas stations
- post offices
- warehouses
- industrial enterprises
- bases for construction and agricultural equipment
- railway facilities
- highways
- electrical substations, not only high-capacity ones
This warning came after a July 12 meeting where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed defense strategies with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. The growing level of threat underscores the urgent need for Ukrainian authorities and military forces to implement new security measures.
In response to these developments, Ukrainian military and state agencies are being forced to adapt their strategies to counter the rising danger from Russia. This may involve strengthening defensive positions and improving early warning systems. Given the volatile situation, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure is essential, as any disruption could impact daily life and economic activity across Ukraine.
